The lid is much cheaper, the drip apparatus is simpler than that of more expensive models of Tiger rice cooker. The brand is good, overall. But in this case you pay less, and you also get less.

This rice cooker had not been reviewed when I bought it, but I bought it anyway because all the Asian markets around here say that the Tiger brand is the best. I really wanted a cooker that could do it all..white rice, brown rice and sushi rice. I think this rice cooker does them all equally the same, but the bottom of the rice is always brown. Not burned black, but brown and crunchy. I have read elsewhere that this is welcomed by some.. but not by me. Something I do like about this cooker is that the rice is done in record time...no more than twenty minutes.
